HJ RENTAL CAR provides reliable rental vehicles in The Bahamas. Please review the following requirements, policies, and terms before booking your vehicle.

Age Requirement

Drivers must be between 25 and 75 years old.

Renters who are 75 years old must provide a medical certificate confirming they are healthy and able to operate a vehicle safely.

Valid Driver's License

A valid driver's license is required.

Drivers must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year before renting from HJ RENTAL CAR.

Security Deposit

A $150.00 security deposit is required.

The deposit must be paid before the vehicle is released and will be refunded after safe return, subject to the rental terms.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup.

Reservations canceled less than 24 hours before pickup may be charged a cancellation fee equal to one day's rental rate.

Insurance Option

Insurance may be purchased from the Company.

HJ RENTAL CAR offers insurance options that renters may choose to purchase for their rental period.

Rental Fees

All rental fees must be paid as agreed.

Additional fees may apply for fuel, insurance, damage, cleaning, late return, tickets, towing, or other services listed in the agreement.

HJ RENTAL CAR Terms and Conditions

HJ RENTAL CAR, referred to as the β€œCompany,” rents vehicles to the Renter according to the terms and conditions below.

1. Service Eligibility

Drivers must be between 25 and 75 years of age and must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year.

Renters who are 75 years old must provide a medical certificate stating they are in good health and able to drive safely.

The Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at its sole discretion.

2. Rental Fee

The Renter agrees to pay the Company all rental fees. Additional fees may apply for fuel, insurance, and any other services outlined in the rental agreement.

3. Deposit

A security deposit of $150.00 is required before the vehicle is released.

This deposit will be refunded when the vehicle is returned safely, subject to the terms of the agreement.

4. Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.

Cancellations made later may result in a cancellation fee equal to one day's rental rate.

5. Insurance

The Company offers insurance, which the Renter may purchase.

6. Maintenance and Repairs

The Renter is responsible for any damage to the Rental Car during the Rental Period.

The Renter must notify the Company immediately about any accidents or mechanical issues.

7. Termination

The Company reserves the right to terminate the agreement and repossess the vehicle at any time if the Renter violates any terms of the agreement.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of The Bahamas.

All disputes arising from these Terms or services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Nassau, Bahamas.

Vehicle Use Rules

  • The vehicle must be used only for lawful purposes.
  • The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, or off-road driving.
  • The Renter must not drive in restricted, unpaved, or muddy areas.
  • If damage happens because of traffic violations, speeding, restricted areas, or improper road use, the Renter is responsible for all damage costs.

Accidents, Theft, and Tires

  • The Renter is responsible for theft of the vehicle during the Rental Period, regardless of fault.
  • The Renter's own insurance policy may cover this responsibility.
  • For a flat tire or damaged tire, the Renter is responsible for repairing and/or replacing the tire.

Fuel Policy

  • The Rental Car must be returned with the same amount of the correct fuel as when it was released.
  • If the fuel amount is less, the Renter will be charged the difference.
  • Fuel charges may be higher than normal gas station rates.
  • If the wrong fuel is used, such as diesel instead of gas, cleaning costs for the fuel line and tank will be charged to the Renter.

Towing, Parking, and Tickets

  • If the car is towed, the Renter is responsible for towing charges.
  • If the Renter violates parking rules, the Renter is responsible for the charges.
  • If the Renter receives a ticket for reckless driving or any other violation, the Renter is responsible for those charges.

Return Policy and Late Fees

  • The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location by the end of the Rental Period.
  • If the Rental Car is kept longer than the agreed time, the Renter is responsible for late fees.

Personal Property

If the Renter's property is left in the vehicle and is not claimed, the Company has the right to dispose of the property after attempting to contact the Renter.

Cleaning, Trash, and Odor

  • If the Rental Car is returned with trash, food, or debris, the Renter will be charged a cleaning fee.
  • The Rental Car must be returned clean and odor-free.
  • If the car is not returned clean and odor-free, the Renter will be charged a cleaning fee.
  • If the vehicle interior is damaged, the Renter will lose the deposit.

No Smoking or Hookah

No smoking and/or hookah use is allowed inside the Rental Car.

If this rule is violated, the Renter will lose the deposit.

Keys, Accessories, and Tools

  • If vehicle keys are lost during the Rental Period, the Renter will be charged a replacement fee.
  • If car accessories or tools are missing when the Rental Car is returned, the Renter will be charged a replacement fee.
  • This includes items such as a car MP3 player, spare tire, jack, or tire wrench.

Agreement

By using HJ RENTAL CAR, you indicate that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them.

Important Reminder

Please inspect the vehicle before leaving, follow all road rules, return the car on time, and contact HJ RENTAL CAR immediately if there is an accident, damage, or mechanical issue.
